Glucagon Receptor Family Antibodies

The glucagon family of receptors are activated by the endogenous peptide hormones glucagon, glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1), glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2), gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP), growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) and secretin. One common precursor generates glucagon, GLP-1 and GLP-2. The actions of these peptides are mediated by a family of class B receptors named accordingly glucagon receptor, GLP-1 receptor, GLP-2 receptor, GIP receptor, GHRH receptor and secretin receptor.
